This update of Canada is a shocker to all the aspirants. Wondering what is it?

The Canadian government announced a reduction of international students by 35% on January 22, 2024. This year only 360,000 permits are expected to be granted. Canada also announced a study permit cap of 50% for undergraduates in Ontario, home of the Ottawa, national gallery. These provinces which need sustainable growth can allocate caps on individual institutions.

This is due to the overflow of international students in Canada. This causes housing and healthcare challenges in significant provinces. Canada is also considerable in saving international students from paying huge fees to institutions.

From September 2024, the Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) is no longer applicable for international students graduating from public-private partnership (PPP)  institutions. This is to save international students from PPP institutions providing less curriculum regulatory insights. Unfortunately, Canada has increased the required funds to CAD 20, 635  from CAD 10,000 in January 2024. You must provide proof of funds for your hassle-free living in Canada.
